Every Manzoorify project has one engineering lead: the person the client trusts and the team follows. You shape the architecture, plan the work, keep the quality bar high and make sure what we promised is what we ship.
You still write code - the hardest parts, the reviews and the prototypes that settle a debate - but your biggest impact is a team that delivers predictably, week after week.
What you'll do
- Own the architecture and technical decisions of one or more projects, and write them down.
- Plan delivery with the team: milestones, estimates and the trade-offs behind them.
- Be the client's single point of contact for engineering - clear, honest and on time.
- Review code and design, and raise the bar by example rather than by rules.
- Coach engineers, run one-to-ones and help each person grow.
- Spot risks early - performance, security, scope - and deal with them before they hurt.
What you bring
- 6+ years building production software, including 2+ years leading engineers or projects.
- Deep experience with at least one modern stack (TypeScript/Node, Python, Go, Java or similar) and SQL databases.
- A track record of shipping: systems you designed that real people use.
- Clear written and spoken English; Dari or Pashto is a plus with local clients.
- Calm judgement under pressure, and the habit of saying no with a better plan.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI/LLM products or telecom systems (USSD, IVR, SMS).
- Cloud architecture and cost control.
- Having worked with big-tech or international teams.
